Dear parents,
I have been blessed this year with having to make regular visits to North Sydney where the place of burial and shrine of St Mary MacKillop has been established. Rather than seeking accommodation in the busy CBD, I've taken to staying at MacKillop Place in order to spend time in prayer with our friend and patron.
Known in my childhood as Mother Mary MacKillop, St Mary has become a close and dear friend. We will celebrate her feast next week by welcoming the diocesan seminarians and Vianney College vice rector, Fr Rafter. Their witness in voice and deed, along with the intercession of St Mary, will help to evoke in our students a desire to follow Jesus wherever he may lead. May each of them, in their own way, do just that.
Warm regards,
Ian Smith
Principal
